Prius is a new variety developed by Bejo (Bejo 2900), launched in 2015. Asparagus plants from Prius are enough available in the spring of 2019. Prius is a 100% male hybrid that is suitable for white asparagus production in northern Europe.

Cultivation

Prius is a very early variety with a high total yield. Prius can be grown very well under black/white plastic foil, as well as in tunnels or mini tunnels. The recommended planting density is four plants per linear metre.

Prius is a very pale white asparagus with well-closed tips and good resistance to rust.
